Lease Accounting is a systematic process that is used by real estate management companies for the recording, reporting, and interpretation of financial records relating to the performance of a lease. This process is vital to the financial health of a real estate firm as it provides a ready reference in case any problems or audit are encountered. Leases are basically financial transactions between a landlord/landlord and an individual/borrower. The term ‘lease’ refers to a term (a lease contract) that allows the landlord the right to occupy the property occupied by the individual/borrower as long as the agreement has been fulfilled.
